Karachi : Following the cancellation of flights, PIA decided to recall staff from European countries.
Spokesperson of PIA has said in a statement, that management of the PIA has decided to withdraw staff from Milan, Oslo, Copenhagen and Barcelona.
He said that Returning staff from Europe station will reduce costs.
He also said that the decision is taken in the context of Suspension of PIA flights to European countries.
He added that PIA General Sales Agents will operate in these countries; Staff returns orders will be issued this week.
It is pertinent to mention that European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)had suspended PIA flights in July.
The closure of the operation for Europe is expected to cost the National Airline billions of rupees this year.
PIA had set a Revenue target of 196 billion this year.
