KP Assembly passes resolution against British Parliament report in favour of Ahmadia

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday unanimously passed a resolution condemning a report of the British Parliament in support of Ahmadia, Qadiani.
The joint resolution presented by Pakistan Muslim League Quaid Azam (PML-Q) parliamentary leader Mufti Obaid-ur-Rehman claimed that the report of the British Parliament was a conspiracy against the Muslims around the world.
“The British Parliament report is a conspiracy against Muslims around the world. Pakistan has been blamed in the report but did not include the stance of Pakistan,” the resolution read.
Pakistan’s foreign office should play its due role by engaging the British High Commission in Pakistan to withdraw the report from the British Parliament as soon as possible.
“The British Parliamentary report will create another issue tribulation. The end of prophecy is part of our faith and a red line for us. On the end of prophecy, we can sacrifice everything,” the resolution said.
It urged the government to immediately raise voice to stop this ‘fitna’.
The resolution also sought a strong protest against the governments of France and Sweden for the repeated Quran desecration.
Later on, the Covid-19 (Prevention of Hoarding) Act 2020 bill was tabled in the KP Assembly.
The new law is aimed to prevent hoarding in respect of scheduled articles, in the wake of present emergent situations resulting from the outbreak of coronavirus.
According to the bill, 32 essential materials will be curbed to be stockpiling. Essential items include tea, sugar, rice, medicines, masks, tires and other products.
“The dealer involved in hoarding will be jailed for 3 years and fined 50% of the cost of recovered stocked goods,” the bill stated.
Magistrate will be authorized to seal any store without any warrant and those who report and point out the hoarding, he or she will get 10% reward on the value of stocked goods.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour Shaukat Yousafzai told provincial assembly that the provincial government has so far distributed Rs 10 million among the floods’ affected people while 1380 food packages were distributed among the others.
Responding to a call attention notice, he said that so far 78 people and 109 domestic animals had died in flash floods and rain related incident while 570 houses were reportedly damaged, adding the district administrations are evaluating the losses in flood affected areas and would submit the reports after which the provincial government would declare the areas calamity-hit.
He said that Chief Minister Mahamood Khan personally visited the affected areas and monitored the relief activities, adding that soon he would visit Kohistan and Shangla to examine the losses.
Shaukat said the provincial government was fully aware of the sufferings of affected people and the government machinery was working day and night to clear the damaged roads, provide compensation cheques and relief assistance including foods, medicines and other items. He appreciated the efforts of RESCUE-1122, PDMA, district governments during relief works.
Earlier, on a call attention notice MPAs Fasial Zaib, Inayatullah, Sirajud Din, Hamira Khatoon and Waqar Ahmed said that floods played havoc in Malakand and Hazara divisions and several people became homeless and deprived of basic facilities.
They urged the government to announce emergency in the affected areas and declared those areas calamity-hit.
