National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf has said the foot prints of the terror related incidents in Pakistan were found in Afghanistan.
“Afghanistan is in war like situation since 4 decades. Pakistan is being affected directly in Afghan war. I will not attend National Security conference in India. A spoiler cannot do the job of peace maker. World should cooperate with Afghan government. The matter regarding Afghanistan is not political but it is humanitarian. Pakistan and Uzbekistan have identical stance on Afghanistan”, he said this while addressing the media after signing a protocol on establishment of Joint Security Commission between Pakistan and Uzbekistan here Tuesday.
He went on to say Pakistan geography is very crucial. What benefit we were to reap from this geography in the past we could not harvest unfortunately. Uzbekistan plays important role among Central Asian countries.
People in Afghanistan have no money to meet their expenses, he said.
We rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war on terror after 9/11, he remarked.
We talk of peace in Afghanistan and it is our need that there should be peace and stability in Afghanistan. Pakistan and Uzbekistan will work together for peace and stability in Afghanistan, he added.
Our national economy had to suffer loss of 150 billion dollars, he reiterated. Work on CPEC with China is underway. We could not have engagement with Central Asia what should have been. Prime Minister Imran Khan and Uzbek president had talked to each other by telephone on this count.
He underlined PM Imran Khan repeatedly say that Pakistan is transforming itself into Geo-economic paradigm.
About Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan has similarity of views on Afghanistan, he said such constructive talks should be held on Afghanistan that no humanitarian tragedy surface therein, he added.
He underlined we are the major victim of terrorism. It is imperative for our security that there should be peace in Afghanistan. We have no option to disengage from Afghanistan.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are working together on SCO forum, he indicated. Talks will be held on anti drugs, counter terrorism, anti drug force and other matters on this forum. We are already enjoying good defence relations with Uzbekistan. National security division will be pivot of this protocol.
