QUETTA, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, while condemning the bomb blast at Pehla Stop area of Nawa Killi in Quetta, has directed the concerned authorities to conduct investigation into the matter, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Saturday.
Bizenjo said that terrorists wanted to disturb peace of the province, adding that it was the foremost responsibility of the government to protect the lives and properties of the people. He said that with the help of the people, the monster of terrorism would be eliminated.
He directed the authorities concerned to provide the best healthcare facilities to the injured of the bomb blast. It is pertinent to mention that six civilian and one official of Eagle Squad sustained injuries in the bomb blast that took place at Pehla Stop, Nawa Killi area in Quetta on Saturday. Rescue officials shifted the injured to the Trauma Centre of Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta for treatment.
The police and other security forces rushed to the scene after the incident, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Further investigation into the incident was underway, said the authorities.
