The Divisional Bench of the High Court of Balochistan consisting of Justice Abdullah Baloch and Justice Rozi Khan Balich heard the case of Karachi, Khuzdar, Quetta-Chaman Road.
Quetta August 6. The Divisional Bench of Balochistan High Court comprising Justice Abdullah Baloch and Justice Rozi Khan Barich heard the case of Karachi, Khuzdar, Quetta-Chaman road. During the hearing, Planning Division and NHA officials told the honorable judges of the two-member bench that in the light of the Supreme Court’s orders, Planning Division/Planning Commission of Pakistan Islamabad has dualized N25 Karachi Khuzdar, Quetta and Chaman Road. Tenders for all the remaining sections for construction are being received and evaluated and further work orders will be issued as soon as possible.
While briefing the Hon’ble Court, Member of NHA Balochistan Syed Basharat Hussain said that the availability of funds from the Federal Government is satisfactory and said that the work of land acquisition has been completed and all the tenders have been opened and the work of bids. On this occasion Syed Ashraf Shah General Manager West NHA informed the honorable court that the repair work on Saurab, Nag and Gwadar Road is going on fast. Member N. HA Balochistan further assured the Hon’ble Bench that the funds required for the repair of this road are available in ample amount upon which the court directed them to complete the said work and complete the repair of other highways on an urgent basis. On behalf of the plaintiff Elahi Bakhsh Mengal Advocate, Muslehuddin Mengal, Naseer Ahmed Bangalzai Deputy Attorney General and Nusrat Baloch Assistant Advocate General, Khudai Nazar Hotkani Advocate Dost Muhammad Mandu Khel Advocate were present for the prosecution of the said case.

The HA officials assured the Hon’ble Court that the work of Hub Nadi Bridge will be completed this month and will be opened for traffic.

The Hon’ble Bench was further assured that there would be no delay in the construction of N-25 and it would be completed on time. Representatives of Planning Division Islamabad said that about 17 billion rupees have been allocated for the construction of N25 in 2024-25, which was also confirmed by NHA member Balochistan. The High Court granted time to the parties to submit their respective progress reports till September 17, 2024, the next date of hearing.
