Quetta August 10: Under the direction of Secretary Transport Balochsan Muhammad Hayat Kakar and Commissioner Quetta Division Muhammad Hamza Shafaqat under the supervision of Secretary RTA Quetta Manzoor Ahmad, RTA Quetta staff, Traffic Police, Representative Motor Vehicle Examiner Quetta and Levies Force staff of the concerned police station. Simultaneously, checking of passenger vehicles of Nasir Phatak Baleli Road, National Highway, Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore, Zhob, Pashin, Chaman, Ziarat, Lorelai and other areas was done.
On this occasion, searchlights, fitness certificate, driving license, orloading, route permit and tracker device were inspected in connection with the prevention of traffic accidents on the national highway. 42 passenger and loading vehicles were challaned for not following the traffic rules. Searchlights were removed from 17 vehicles. On this occasion, Secretary RTA Quetta Manzoor Ahmed said that daily checking of public transport vehicles is very important for the prevention of traffic accidents on national highways and for the safety of passengers. Most of the accidents are due to the negligence of the drivers and the condition of the vehicles
Therefore, strict measures are being taken in this regard. Strict instructions have been issued by Secretary Transport Balochsan for the safety of public transport vehicles and the safety of passengers, because driving vehicles without finance certificate on national highways is the cause of high speed accidents. In addition, the Baloch government has installed trackers in all long-route passenger vehicles to prevent accidents, but many companies do not turn on the trackers, which is a violation of the law, so the vehicle owners and companies who turn off the trackers. It is strongly advised to keep the tracker on while travelling.
He said that passenger vehicles should avoid overloading and speeding because one mistake of yours can lead to loss of many lives. On the other hand, installing and using searchlights on national highways can lead to accidents, so avoid installing searchlights. do
