Loralai August 22. Monthly meeting of District Education Group was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Loralai Miran Baloch.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Loralai Abdullah Zehri, Deputy District Officer Education (Female), District Officer Education (Male), District President of Teachers Association Gul Khan and Deputy District Education Officers including UNICEF, RTSM and other group members. Various issues were discussed in the meeting.

In the meeting, the District Education Officer while giving a briefing to the Deputy Commissioner said that at present 17 closed primary schools have been opened and the rest of the teaching has been started in them, besides 18 teachers have been suspended for continuous absences. Similarly, 4 closed girls’ primary schools have been activated and 4 teachers have been deducted 28 days’ salary for absenteeism, 18 more schools have been reopened with the support of BRSP.

The rest of the studies have been started in the summer. Fourteen teachers who have been found absent will have their salaries deducted. On this occasion, many other important issues were discussed including taking strict action against the absent teachers to open the closed schools and taking all possible measures to activate the educational institutions while addressing the meeting Deputy Commissioner Loralai Miran Baloch said that All possible measures are being taken by the district administration for the improvement of educational institutions

He said that all possible measures will be taken with the cooperation and support of the education officers to ensure the education system throughout the district. Avoid being present otherwise strict action will be taken against them.

The Deputy Commissioner said that consideration is being given to opening the closed schools across the district and appointing teachers in them. It is the need of the hour that we should take all necessary steps to enlighten the new generation with the light of education. There is a need to take serious steps to bring the light of education home.
