Gwadar: September. In Gwadar city, the municipal committee in collaboration with the health department has launched a mosquito spray campaign. The campaign was inaugurated by the Vice Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Majid Johar, while the District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Wahid Baloch and the Chief Officer of the Municipal Committee Maktoum Musa played a key role in the success of the campaign.
This mosquito spray campaign has been launched to prevent dengue and other dangerous mosquito-borne diseases, so that citizens can be protected from these diseases. During the campaign, Vice Chairman Majid Johar and Dr. Farooq Baloch were responsible for monitoring, while the spray team was led by Sanaullah Usman. The team started the campaign from Malaband area, and will gradually spray the whole city with mosquito repellent. The aim of this campaign is to provide a healthy environment in the city and effectively prevent the spread of diseases.
Meanwhile, public awareness is also being provided so that the overall health of the city can be improved and the spread of diseases like dengue can be prevented. Chief Officer Maktoum Musa further informed on the occasion that all the wards of Municipal Committee will be covered during this weekly campaign. Although the number of reported cases is low, the campaign aims to contain the problem at an early stage through a proactive strategy. He appreciated the role of health department and district administration for this campaign and said that this initiative is an important step towards protecting the health of the people of Gwadar.
