Quetta, October 1, 2024: A two-member bench of the High Court of Balochistan consisting of Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhil and Justice Shaukat Ali Rakhshani heard the constitutional petition filed by Advocate Nazir Agha for the construction of White and Kelvin Road on behalf of the Government of Balochistan, the Chief Secretary and others. In compliance with this court order dated 25th July 2024, the learned Additional Advocate General submitted a progress report on the construction of Kelvin Road on behalf of the Project Director Chief Minister Balochistan Quetta Development Package Muhammad Rafiq, the salient features of which are as follows. The drainage work from Quarry Road to Imdad Chowk is 90% complete.
The grill installation around the park is 70 percent complete. The work of leveling and filling the land along the said road has been completed. Repair work of maintenance office is in progress. As directed by the court, the topographic survey for the additional link from Zarghun (Railway Station) to Whyte Road near Secretariat has been completed, and design work is currently underway.
