Web Desk – On the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangulzai, Assistant Commissioner Chaman Muhammad Afzal visited various markets of the city today along with Levies Force.
During this, a detailed review of the prices, quality, and cleanliness of meat shops, bakeries, and retail stores was conducted.
AC Chaman checked the weight of bread, meat prices at bakeries, and the quality and prices of items in retail stores.
He strictly instructed that all shopkeepers should ensure implementation of the official price list and SOPs.
The Assistant Commissioner clarified that strict legal action will be taken against shopkeepers who violate SOPs, safety norms, and official price list.
He said that “legitimate profit is the right of shopkeepers, but arbitrary prices are not acceptable in any case.”
He further said that daily checks will be continued to ensure the provision of quality and affordable goods to the public.
He said that strict measures are essential to maintain transparency and price balance in the markets.
The aim of this step by the Deputy Commissioner Chaman is to protect the public from inflation and substandard goods.
These actions will increase transparency in the markets as well as public confidence.
