Earthquake Tremors Felt in Zhob District of Balochistan, Magnitude Recorded at 4.0

Quetta: Earthquake tremors were felt in the Zhob district of Balochistan this morning, causing panic among the residents. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 33 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. The epicenter was located 61 kilometers northwest of Zhob.

The tremors were felt during the morning hours, prompting people to rush out of their homes in fear. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.

Following the earthquake, local authorities initiated rescue operations and issued safety precautions for the public. Although the tremors were mild, experts have warned of the possibility of aftershocks, and civil defense preparations have been stepped up by the concerned authorities.

Earthquakes are a common occurrence in Pakistan, especially in areas like Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are prone to such natural disasters. Authorities are advising the public to stay informed about safety measures in case of future earthquakes.
