The Managing Director of the Quetta Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), Gul Muhammad Khalji, convened an important meeting to discuss strategies for improving the city’s water supply and boosting the organization’s dwindling revenue.
All WASA officers were in attendance.
During the meeting, the Managing Director sought suggestions from all officers on how to enhance water supply to consumers and strengthen WASA’s weak financial position.
It was decided that regional SDOs and XENs would conduct daily inspections of water supply in their respective divisions to ensure the provision of quality water to consumers.
Furthermore, to increase revenue, each area will engage with the community to request consumers to pay their outstanding dues.
Strict action will be taken against illegal connections and tube wells.
The Managing Director appealed to consumers to pay their dues promptly, warning of legal action against defaulters.
Details of WASA’s Key Initiatives:
