Depriving Chagai District of Scholarships is Injustice: Educational Experts Demand a Review from the Chief Minister of Balochistan
Report: Farooq Rind
The provincial government’s decision to exclude Chagai district from scholarship opportunities is an unbearable act, raising serious concerns among educational experts and local residents.
Chagai is one of the most educationally backward areas in Balochistan, and this decision by the provincial government is further exacerbating this backwardness.
Under the Chief Minister Shaheed Memorial Scholarship, 11 districts were selected to offer students the opportunity to study at Sadiq Public School in Bahawalpur.
However, this decision overlooks Chagai, a district rich in natural resources, but historically lagging in terms of educational development.
Educational experts and local residents consider this decision unjust, as depriving Chagai’s students of educational opportunities could have a profoundly negative impact on their future.
The people of Chagai have urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan to reconsider this decision and include Chagai district in the scholarship program, so that its students can benefit from educational opportunities and contribute to the development of their district.
Experts emphasize the importance of providing scholarships to Chagai students so that they can strengthen their educational foundations and play a role in Balochistan’s overall development.
If such injustices continue against Chagai, local residents reserve the right to protest for the future of their children.
