Dalbandin: The stolen belongings and vehicle of journalists who were robbed at gunpoint in Taftan a week ago have been recovered.
Journalists from Quetta expressed their gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Chagai, Ata-ul-Muneem, for his prompt action and cooperation.
Last week, unidentified armed robbers looted journalists traveling from Quetta to Taftan, taking away their vehicle and all their belongings.
Upon learning about the incident, Deputy Commissioner Chagai took immediate action and launched an intelligence-based operation, which led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and other valuables within a few days.
Meeting with the Deputy Commissioner:
Following the recovery of their belongings, Quetta-based journalist Javed Langa and his colleagues met with Deputy Commissioner Chagai, accompanied by Dalbandin Press Club President, Farooq Siyah Pad, to personally thank him.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Ata-ul-Muneem stated:
“It was my duty, and we will continue our efforts to arrest the culprits. Every possible measure will also be taken to recover the stolen drone camera.”
Journalist Javed Langa praised the honesty and dedication of the Deputy Commissioner, saying:
“Officials like Ata-ul-Muneem are a source of pride for the people of this region. The respect and support we received within a week are unforgettable.”
Additionally, journalists also thanked MPA Chagai Sadiq Khan Sanjrani and former advisor Meera Ejaz Khan Sanjrani, who remained in constant contact with them throughout the situation.
Appeal to the Chief Minister of Balochistan:
Journalists urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan to appreciate and support brave and fearless officers like Ata-ul-Muneem so they can continue to perform their duties effectively.
Deputy Commissioner Chagai assured that no one will be allowed to disturb law and order in the district and that the safety of both locals and visitors will be ensured.
This incident not only highlights the efficiency of the authorities but also restores public confidence in law enforcement agencies.
