Exclusive Report: Balochistan 24
Quetta: Political tensions in Balochistan have escalated as Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Provincial Minister Ali Hasan Zehri lock horns over key government matters.
Sources have exclusively informed Balochistan 24 that CM Sarfaraz Bugti attempted to reach out to a senior party leader to complain about Zehri’s behavior. However, in a surprising turn of events, his call was simply ignored.
According to sources, a heated exchange took place at the Chief Minister’s House over new recruitments, the appointment of favored officers, and land allotments.
CM Bugti maintained that he is running a coalition government and cannot make unilateral appointments or decisions against merit. However, Ali Hasan Zehri insisted on getting his preferred officers appointed. The argument escalated, and an enraged Zehri stormed out of the meeting.
As per Balochistan 24 sources, CM Bugti took this as an insult and immediately tried to escalate the matter to the party leadership. Yet, to his dismay, his call went unanswered—raising serious questions about the balance of power within the provincial government.
This is not the first time Ali Hasan Zehri has asserted his influence. Earlier, after taking the oath at the Governor’s House, he made controversial remarks to the media, further solidifying his image as a power player.
However, this time, the situation has reached a point where CM Bugti himself seems to be struggling to assert his authority.
Where will this political confrontation lead? Will CM Bugti’s concerns ever be addressed? Or will the situation become even more complicated? Balochistan 24 will continue to bring you exclusive updates.
