A Colorful Sports Festival in Nokundi Under the Auspices of Reko Diq Mining Company

Nokundi, February 25, 2025 – The Nokundi Sports Festival 2025, organized by Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC), concluded with great enthusiasm and exciting competitions.

The closing ceremony was held at Khan Muhammad Umar Khan Sanjrani Football Stadium, where a large number of tribal and political leaders, athletes, and youth participated.

The 19-day-long festival featured athletes from all four districts of the Rakhshan Division, competing in eight different sports, including football, cricket, volleyball, taekwondo, badminton, and table tennis.

The highlight of the festival was the football final, where RDMC Football Club Nokundi defeated Baloch Club Kharan in a thrilling match 4-2 on penalty shootout. The match ended in a draw during regular time, leading to a penalty shootout, where Nokundi’s team secured victory. After the win, players and supporters celebrated with traditional drumbeats and dancing.

The closing ceremony was graced by chief guest Khan Muhammad Asif Khan Sanjrani, along with tribal and political figures. Other notable attendees included CDC Chairman Malik Muhammad Azam Muhammadzai, CDC members Sardar Shaukat Ejbari, Raza Ali Sanjrani, Chairman Taj Kabdani, Haji Amanullah Mengal, Master Raza Ejbari, Haji Abdul Salam Kashani, Malik Muhammad Sasoli, Anwar Jan Ejbari, DFA President Haji Abdul Rauf Notizai, and General Secretary Haji Abdul Bari Notizai.

Speaking on the occasion, RDMC’s Community Relations Manager, Ali Dost Yalanzi, stated, “We take pride in providing opportunities for young athletes.


The passion and talent displayed in this festival reflect our commitment to community empowerment.”

The Nokundi Sports Festival 2025 saw massive participation from the youth, promoting sportsmanship and community harmony.

At the festival’s conclusion, outstanding performers were awarded prizes, and RDMC reiterated its commitment to skills development and job opportunities for local youth.
