GWADAR/PASNI: Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Naqeebullah Kakar, successfully resolved a longstanding dispute between local fishermen and fish company owners, which had persisted for five years, in just two weeks. The resolution was facilitated with the cooperation of MPA Gwadar Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Abdul Shakoor, and Assistant Commissioner Pasni, Khasro Dlawari.
All parties had mutually agreed to recognize the Deputy Commissioner as the sole mediator. After detailed consultations, the dispute was permanently resolved, ending the strike in Pasni and restoring fishing activities. The decision also addressed issues concerning non-local fishermen. Local fishermen, boat owners, fish company representatives, and the Pasni Traders Association expressed gratitude to the Gwadar administration for timely and effective intervention, which restored peace, harmony, and economic activity in the area.
