Crime Rate Drops Significantly in Quetta, CM Attributes Success to Law Enforcement

Quetta (January 28, 2026) — Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, highlighted a significant decline in crime rates in Quetta over the past two months, crediting the provincial government’s proactive law enforcement strategy.

 

Speaking on social media, he noted that coordinated operations by police and paramilitary units have disrupted organized crime networks and improved public safety. Authorities emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen surveillance, ensure timely arrests, and maintain community engagement in crime prevention.

 

The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of sustained governance, coordination between law enforcement agencies, and public cooperation to maintain law and order in urban centers. Residents reported feeling safer and more confident in local security services. Officials assured that consistent monitoring and evaluation would continue to sustain the downward trend in criminal activity across the province.
