Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has affirmed that the state is fully committed to combating terrorism with unwavering resolve and that cowardly attacks by militants cannot weaken the morale of the government or its people.
Speaking during a visit to the site of Saturday’s morning bomb blast in Quetta, CM Bugti reviewed the security arrangements and met with officers and personnel of the police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), praising their courage, professionalism, and timely response. Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Khan, provided a detailed briefing on the incident, ongoing operations, and the overall security situation.
CM Bugti lauded the prompt and effective action of the police and CTD, noting that their swift response prevented significant loss of life. “Over the past 12 months, Balochistan’s security forces have neutralized more than 700 terrorists, with nearly 70 eliminated in just the last two days. This morning, militants linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan attempted coordinated attacks across the province to boost their failing morale. Thanks to the bravery and coordination of Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps, all attacks were successfully thwarted, and 37 additional terrorists have been eliminated,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasized that these cowardly attempts cannot weaken the state’s determination to eradicate terrorism. “The state will not tolerate any compromise on peace and security. Operations will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized,” he declared.
Expressing admiration for the sacrifices of the security forces, CM Bugti said, “The nation takes pride in our brave protectors, who risk their lives without hesitation to safeguard the peace and stability of Balochistan and the country.”
