Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has reaffirmed the province’s unwavering resolve against terrorism, stating that cowardly attacks by militants will never undermine the morale of the state or its people.
Speaking during a visit to the site of Saturday’s bomb blast in Quetta, CM Bugti reviewed the security situation and met with officers and personnel from the police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), lauding their courage, professionalism, and prompt response. Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Khan, provided a detailed briefing on ongoing security measures and operations.
Highlighting recent achievements, CM Bugti revealed that over the past 12 months, Balochistan’s security forces have neutralized more than 700 terrorists, with nearly 70 eliminated in the last two days alone. “Early this morning, militants linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan attempted to carry out attacks across the province to bolster their failing morale. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps, all attacks were successfully thwarted, and 37 more terrorists have been eliminated,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasized that these cowardly acts will not weaken the state’s resolve. “The government will not tolerate any compromise on peace and security. Operations will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized,” he stated, expressing pride in the bravery and sacrifices of security personnel who protect the province and the nation without fear for their own lives.
