Weather Alert Issued as Rain Predicted in 19 Balochistan Districts, Snow Expected in Northern Highlands
Quetta: The Meteorological Department has projected light rain across 19 districts of Balochistan today, while light snowfall is anticipated in the elevated regions of Chaman, Pishin, Kila Abdullah, Kila Saifullah and Ziarat.
Officials from the Met Office said the shift in weather patterns is likely to cause a further decline in temperatures, particularly in the northern belt and high-altitude areas of the province. The ongoing cold conditions are expected to intensify due to the combined impact of rainfall and snowfall.
The department has urged residents, especially those in colder and mountainous areas, to take necessary precautions in light of the forecast. Travelers have also been advised to exercise caution, as snowfall may lead to slippery road conditions in vulnerable areas.
The advisory has been issued amid a continuing cold wave affecting large parts of Balochistan, with relevant authorities closely monitoring the evolving weather situation.
