New questions are being raised about the use of office hours related to the Balochistan Forest Department office in Quetta.
Citizens say that during official working hours, some officers and officials are allegedly busy with unrelated activities instead of carrying out office work.
Several complainants said that they reach the office to approve files and follow up on requests, but they often have to wait.
Some people claim that even routine work is being delayed due to the unavailability of the concerned officers.
According to citizens, reports of officers being on the roof during office hours and engaging in activities like kite flying have increased concerns.
The complainants say that if such activities continue during official working hours, not only will public problems increase but the reputation of the institution will also be affected.
The civic body has demanded that office discipline be ensured and the monitoring system be strengthened to ensure effective use of working hours.
An attempt was made to get the position of the Forest Department officials in this regard, but no official response was received till the time of filing the news.
Observers say that if the allegations are true, a transparent investigation is necessary, while if this impression is wrong, the concerned authorities should immediately issue a clarification so that the ambiguity can be removed.
