On the special instructions of Commissioner Sibi Division Asadullah Faiz, a comprehensive progress review meeting was held to review the ongoing development projects and social initiatives in Sibi district.
The meeting was chaired by Director Social Welfare Sibi Division and Focal Person Commissioner Sibi Division for NGOs, Amjad Lashari. The meeting was held at the office of the Divisional Directorate of Social Welfare Sibi. Representatives of NGOs, civil society organizations, development partners and social workers working across the district participated in the meeting.
The main objective of the meeting was to review the progress of ongoing projects, avoid possible duplication of interventions, strengthen communication among stakeholders and ensure transparent and effective delivery of services to the deserving segments.
Participants shared detailed briefings on the objectives, duration, geographical boundaries, beneficiaries, financial and physical progress and future action plans of their projects, as well as project documents and timelines to ensure transparency and accountability.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on making close coordination with the district administration more effective, improving the information exchange system and aligning project goals with district development priorities. It was agreed that a comprehensive progress report would be prepared and sent to the Commissioner Sibi Division so that the activities of NGOs could be further organized and coordinated. At the end of the meeting, the participating organizations appreciated this initiative and said that such coordination meetings are very important for effective coordination between the local administration and organizations and this will help in effectively reaching the poor and vulnerable sections of the society.
Representatives from Essar Islamic Foundation, Shaheen Welfare Society, Nutrition Program, Benazir Development Program, Islamic Relief, Tarqqi Foundation, BRSP, Oasis Development Foundation, Sibi Institute of Science and Technology, Tameer-e-Khalq Foundation, Shiraz Welfare Foundation, Sibi Youth Ittehad, Zahra Foundation, Karwan-e-Khidmat Welfare Society, Ittehad-e-Mazdooran Welfare Society, NCHD, Green Sibi, Web Balochistan, Wes Organization and Aga Khan Development Network attended the meeting.
The meeting concluded with a commitment that regular coordination meetings will be held in the future to further improve service delivery, transparency and collective impact in Sibi district.
