Baby Birth Parent,s leave bill Approved by senate
The bill states that at the birth of a child, the employer should be given 6 months leave while the father is given 3 months salary.

ISLAMABAD: The bill regarding the mother and father’s leave was approved in the upper house at the birth of the baby.
A meeting of the Senate chaired by Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani was held, in which Senator Qari Alaine of the Pakistan Peoples Party presented a bill for retirement and approval, which was passed unanimously.
The bill states that at the birth of a child, the employer should be given 6 months leave while the father is given 3 months salary.
The bill also states that the mother should be given 3 months and the father one month without salary leave, if the employer does not allow the employees leave, then action should be taken against them.
The government opposed the bill of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hamad Azhar, saying that in our law, 90 days of maternity leave is granted, the paternity leave should be reduced to 15 days.
Despite opposition from the government, the bill was passed unanimously in the Senate.
The Senate has also unanimously approved a mandatory vaccination for children and the protection of health workers.
