Asta Muhammad 07 August 2024: A meeting of district officers was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Asta Muhammad Jalil Ahmed. In the meeting, preparations for the Independence Day celebration and security arrangements were reviewed in detail. On the occasion of the meeting, a detailed review of the arrangements regarding the 14th August Independence Day was held. Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed said that all the preparations for the Independence Day should be finalized in the district headquarters. A flag hoisting ceremony will also be held in which children from different schools will present national songs, speeches and tableaus.

While all the arrangements for cleanliness should be completed throughout the city, all the government offices and residences will be decorated with electric lamps. On the occasion of Independence Day, the police department should also make extraordinary arrangements for security at the entrances and exits of the city. But close attention should be kept on snap checking and other issues so that no untoward incident takes place, the district administration will ensure all possible measures to celebrate Independence Day in full.

While various events should also be organized in all government schools on the occasion of Independence Day, the officers of the Education Department have started preparations to present speeches, songs and tables to the children on the occasion of Independence Day to increase the happiness of August 14. Not only sports events will be organized for this day, but programs should also be organized in schools on this day so that the young generation can learn about the importance of August 14.
