On the special orders of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Khan Bugti, Provincial Irrigation Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani and Provincial Irrigation Secretary Hafiz Abdul Majid, the teams of officials of the Irrigation Department visited various canals regarding the improvement of the canal system of Balochistan and advance measures on the occasion of monsoon rains. In the light of the orders of the higher authorities, under the supervision of Chief Engineer Canals Nasir Majeed, Superintending Engineer Abdul Hameed Mengal and Executive Engineer Pit Feeder Canal Muhammad Ibrahim Mengal, the embankments of the canals have been further strengthened by heavy machinery at RD 206, Dera. The flood relay coming from Bugti Sui always affected the Pit Feeder Canal from the same point, keeping in view the emergency situation, the water supply in the Pit Feeder Canal was also shut off by the efforts of the provincial government under the supervision of the department engineers. This part of the work was carried out on an emergency basis using modern machinery

Along with this, the process of filling the rain cuts on the banks of the canal from RD 238 to RD 342 was also completed and where there were risks due to possible flood situation, it was also completed. Apart from this, there was a crack on Rupa RD 27, the Zili branch of Pit Feeder Canal, which was filled using heavy machinery under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Officer Abd Azhar Mengal. The rear has been strengthened. It should be noted that the entire part of Sahabpur district could have been affected at RD 206, for which the officers of the department ensured all the measures on the orders of the higher authorities.
