Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan Additional Chief Secretary Interior Shahabuddin Inspector General Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Spokesperson Balochistan Government Shahid Rind, DIGCTD Aitzaz Hussain Guraya DIG Special Branch DG Levies and top law enforcement agencies were present in the meeting. In the meeting attended by the officials, the law and order situation in the province was reviewed and the participants were briefed about the recent incidents of terrorism in different areas of the province by the Home Department of Balochistan.
The participants of the meeting agreed on an effective strategy between the federal and provincial governments for sustainable peace in Balochistan, increasing the professional capacity of the police and Levies, providing modern equipment and supplies to the Balochistan Police and eliminating the shortage of police officers. It was decided to appoint new ASPs in Balochistan as a special case. It was decided in the meeting that the approval of the funds required to improve the security situation in Balochistan will be taken from the Apex Committee while passports in Chaman. Staff and facilities will be increased for early and prompt release
It was also decided in the meeting that FIA will take effective action to prevent anti-state activities and propaganda on social media and in this regard Director FIA will be present in Quetta and monitor the situation, expressing his views in the meeting. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that by using all available resources for the establishment of peace in Balochistan, the life and financial security of the people will be ensured in every case and the writ of the state will be maintained in every case. Anti-national forces do not want to see the success of CPEC projects in Balochistan, but it is clear that any such conspiracy of hostile elements will not succeed.
The people’s government and the security forces are fully capable of defending the land of Pakistan secretly and all kinds of conspiracies against Pakistan will be thwarted with mutual unity and agreement.
