Secretary Fisheries Coastal Development Balochistan Javed Anwar Shahwani paid a one-day visit to Lasbela district

Lasbela 1st October 2024: Secretary Fisheries Coastal Development Balochistan Javed Anwar Shahwani visited Lasbela district for a day.

On the occasion of the visit, the officers of the Fisheries Department informed them about the departmental performance and issues. Secretary Fisheries is trying to solve the problems faced by the fishermen. Secretary Fisheries said that we are aware of the problems of the fishermen related to the employment of fishing. A crackdown will be started soon against trawler mafia

He said that after the establishment of the control room of the fisheries department in Gwadar, surveillance system will also be established in Lasbela and all the boats of the fisheries department will be monitored through technology screen now.

He said that former Prime Minister Ali Jam Kamal Aliani during his tenure as Chief Minister introduced tracker system and established an effective surveillance system to protect the fishermen fishing in the sea and their boats. Secretary Fisheries said that the government of Balochistan has given the status of force to the fisheries patrolling team, the fisheries patrolling teams have been mobilized to prevent illegal trawling in the maritime boundaries of Balochistan and more boats will be provided to the fisheries patrolling teams.
