Strict action against high selling, illegal profiteering, selling compressors and wall chalking

Quetta 21 January. The district price control committee has taken strict actions against those who sell high prices, illegal profits, sell compressors and wall chalking. Fines were imposed on 8 shopkeepers who were sent to jail and warnings were issued to 16 shopkeepers

 

According to the details, operations are ongoing against the wholesalers and profiteers in different areas of Quetta district under the supervision of the district administration, in which different teams visited 90 general stores, tandu, beef and mutton shops and mini petrol pumps in different areas of Quetta. . On this occasion I inspected the prices and quality in the butchers and the weights on the ovens. And inspected prices and gauges at mini petrol pumps. Meanwhile, 10 shopkeepers were arrested for taking illegal profits, 5 shops were sealed, 4 shopkeepers were sent to jail and 8 shopkeepers were fined while 16 shopkeepers were issued strict warnings.

These operations took place in the areas of Alamo Chowk Nawan Kali Gul Muhammad Kali Toghi Road Prince Road Gwalmandi Chowk and Joint Road. Assistant Commissioner Saryab Maria Shamoon, Special Magistrate Ahsamuddin Kakar and Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar participated in these operations. Actions were also taken against vendors selling gas compressors in the areas. In this regard, Special Magistrate Hussamuddin Kakar raided various shops in Sub-Division (City). In which 37 gas compressors were recovered from various shops and 3 shopkeepers were arrested, meanwhile all recovered compressors were seized and handed over to the gas department. District administration will intensify operations against compressor mafia in Quetta.

 

If the shopkeepers still violate, their shops will be sealed. And the shopkeepers will be sent to jail for one month. In addition, the district administration took action against the illegal wall chalking on the Airport Road, on which the carpet owner was arrested. Action was taken against. Meanwhile, the manager of the carpet was detained for violating the Local Government Act 2010. And the manager was instructed to remove the wall chalking, upon which the owner and the manager immediately took steps to remove all the wall chalking. The district administration issued strict instructions to the carpet owner not to do such illegal work in future.
