Chaman | Jan 11, 2026:
Shamshad Writers Forum Pakistan has welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of establishing eight Danish Schools in Balochistan, calling it a positive step toward educational development in underprivileged areas.
In a joint statement, Forum President Hafiz Muhammad Siddique Madani, General Secretary Ghulam Muhammad Mukhlis, and Vice President Hafiz Saif-ur-Rehman Siddique praised the initiative, stating that Danish Schools offer hope and quality education to deserving students from marginalized regions.
However, the forum expressed serious concern over the exclusion of Chaman district, describing it as regrettable. The leaders noted that Chaman, despite being Balochistan’s second-largest commercial city and a sensitive border district, continues to suffer from educational, social, and economic deprivation.
They emphasized that establishing a Danish School in Chaman could promote positive social change, counter extremism, and secure a brighter future for local youth. The forum urged the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Balochistan, and Speaker Balochistan Assembly Captain Abdul Khaliq Achakzai to take immediate steps to include Chaman in the national education project.
