Sherani | Jan 11, 2026:
The Allied Health Organization Sherani has raised serious concerns over the suspension of the district’s medicine quota, warning that healthcare services have been severely affected.
District President Azal Khan Harifal stated that the Balochistan provincial government, through an official directive issued nearly two months ago, shifted Sherani’s entire medicine quota to DHQ Hospital Zhob, calling the move unjust and harmful to local residents.
He said that amid rising inflation and widespread poverty, government hospitals, civil dispensaries, and health centers in Sherani are facing acute shortages of essential medicines, forcing patients to return without treatment.
Azal Khan urged higher authorities to immediately restore the medicine quota, warning that continued shortages could lead to the closure of health facilities. He added that doctors, paramedical staff, and allied health workers would be compelled to protest if the issue is not resolved promptly.
The organization emphasized that uninterrupted medicine supply is critical for ensuring basic healthcare rights in remote districts like Sherani.
