Quetta, Jan 12:
The Balochistan Finance Department has extended the deadline for online job applications after applicants reported intermittent technical issues with the newly launched recruitment portal.
A departmental spokesperson clarified that due to heavy online traffic, round-the-clock operations, and simultaneous access by a large number of users, the system experienced temporary pressure, leading to brief disruptions. He said the online application form for the post of Assistant Accounts Officer is functioning smoothly, while the forms for Assistant Computer Operator and Junior Clerk may occasionally go offline for short durations.
The spokesperson added that the department’s technical team is working continuously to resolve the issues and further improve system performance. To ensure that no eligible candidate is deprived of the opportunity to apply, the deadline for submitting applications for the affected posts has been extended.
Reassuring applicants, the spokesperson said there is no need for concern, as all applications will be received and the technical hurdles are temporary in nature. He noted that this is the first time a fully paperless, modern online recruitment system has been introduced in Balochistan, which has caused initial difficulties for some applicants.
Applicants have been advised to remain patient, avoid rumors, and complete their applications within the extended deadline. For guidance, candidates may contact the Finance Department Balochistan helpline at (081) 2500096. The department reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, merit, and public facilitation through the new recruitment system.
