Quetta: Provincial Minister for Communications and PML-N Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa has announced that the Balochistan government is placing a strong emphasis on modernizing national highways to ensure safer, faster, and more convenient travel across the province and the country.
Addressing a delegation, he stated that extensive measures are being reviewed to improve road infrastructure, enhance commuter safety, and reduce travel times. He underlined that the federal government is fully supportive of Balochistan’s development agenda, aiming to address long-standing infrastructural gaps and public grievances.
Mir Saleem Khosa emphasized that the province’s development is a collective responsibility and highlighted that years of neglect had created challenges that the current provincial government, in close coordination with federal authorities, is determined to overcome. He noted that while political differences are part of democratic processes, all stakeholders must unite to advance Balochistan’s progress.
He further revealed that a comprehensive policy is being designed to boost highway safety, prevent road accidents, and expand travel facilities. The plan includes the construction of two-way roads and other upgrades to ensure commuters enjoy secure, timely, and efficient journeys throughout the province.
