The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that, as a result of recent efforts, 32 schools were reactivated in December, and teaching activities have resumed. He further mentioned, “This is the first step, and more concrete measures will be taken soon to improve the education system.”

Deputy Commissioner Atta-ul-Munim instructed field officers to expedite monitoring efforts and take immediate action against absent teachers, saying, “By enhancing the monitoring of schools, absent teachers will be promptly suspended, and their salaries will be withheld.” He emphasized that reactivating closed schools is part of the provincial government’s educational reforms, and there will be no room for absenteeism.

Regarding educational reforms, the Deputy Commissioner stated that teacher recruitment is being done on merit across Balochistan. This initiative not only addresses the shortage of teaching staff but also aims to improve educational quality by reactivating closed schools.

He stressed, “To ensure the functionality of schools and the attendance of teachers, we must prioritize merit and operate free from any compromises.”

Praising the actions taken for the reactivation of schools in Chagai, the Deputy Commissioner said, “These steps are the beginning of a new era in educational reforms, which will not only reactivate schools but also raise the standard of education.” He further emphasized, “These efforts will ensure that the upcoming generations have access to quality education.”

Deputy Commissioner Atta-ul-Munim also appealed to tribal elders and parents to support government efforts and help identify absent teachers to improve the educational system further. He said, “To improve the education sector, we must work together and ensure that no child is deprived of their right to education.”

The meeting also concluded with the decision to continuously monitor the progress of the District Education Group’s decisions and ensure their effective implementation.

The Deputy Commissioner stated, “We will accelerate the process of educational reforms and ensure that every school in Chagai district is activated to enhance the educational standards.”
