The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has fully restored two of the city’s historic commercial centers, Mullah Fazil Chowk and Gilig.
The restoration aims to modernize Gwadar’s historic trading areas and provide a better business environment for local traders.
The rehabilitation process included sewage, drainage, tough tiling, road construction, and beautification, significantly enhancing the aesthetics and facilities of these commercial hubs.
Under GDA’s Old Town Restoration Project, special importance was given to Mullah Fazil Chowk, as it is one of the city’s oldest business centers.
Balochistan Assembly Member Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman and GDA Director General Saifullah Khetran visited the restored centers and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work.
Local traders also welcomed the initiative, stating that these developments will boost commercial activities and provide better facilities for residents.
According to GDA officials, work on the Old Town Restoration Project is progressing rapidly under the special directives of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, with further improvements planned for other areas as well.
